Hardware Asset Management (HAM) design is about meeting the business goals of the organization and abiding by applicable legislation while using the least resources possible. HAM is not a one-area initiative but encompasses the entire asset lifecycle. The asset disposition policy assists in creating guidelines around disposition – the last stage in the asset lifecycle. Specifically, this policy will address:

This template will help build a HAM disposition policy for the enterprise as well as document business justifications for partnership with an asset disposition partner. The resulting document is therefore intended for both initial project scoping and for reuse in future projects.
