Is Gartner's Emergent Architecture Concept Real?

Garter is trying to coin a new phrase called Emergent Architecture (EA) to describe lightweight interactions between people, processes and applications. The question is are we really seeing a new model for integration develop or is this just another attempt to create a consulting practice around a new buzzword that in reality is just the same as it ever it was?
