The second volume of her “Entrepreneur Journeys” series, author Sramana Mitra has released “Entrepreneur Journeys: Bootstrapping: Weapon of Mass Reconstruction.” The book takes aim at a core issue of entrepreneurship: bootstrapping as an essential route along the roadmap to startup success. Mitra showcases a dozen entrepreneurs and their lessons from the bootstrapping trenches. In a world battered by economic crisis, Mitra believes, entrepreneurship is the only sustainable path forward. And core to the success of these ventures is the art of bootstrapping.

The following excerpt includes an interview with Greg Gianforte, a former Silicon Valley software entrepreneur.
