If you are interested in telecommuting but are not satisfied with your home office environment, you might consider checking into a Remote Office Center. ROCs provide telecommuters with all of the infrastructure and structure they are used to in their corporate office, but in a location that is near where they live. ROCs lease offices, internet and phone systems to workers from different companies in shared centers located around the city and suburbs.
The concept is pretty new, but facilities can be found in many cities by searching the internet for "Remote Office Center".
