Created on: Jan 25, 2009 12:51 PM by TheComputerGuy - Last Modified:  Dec 7, 2009 1:09 PM by MichaelTaylor

This document is brought to you from our partner, The Computer Guy. They provide other documents within the Knowledge Network, in addition to other premium content available on the IT Business Edge site.

Many companies have a network document policy, which specifies the level of network documentation required. That documentation, for instance, might state which switch ports connect to which rooms and computers. It defines who will have access to that documentation and who can change it. It also defines who will be notified when changes are made to the network. The attached document gives users a template for putting all the important documentation in one place.

The attached Zip file includes:

• Intro Page.doc

• Network Documentation Template.doc

• Network Documentation Template.odt

Patrick Avery Patrick Avery  says in response to adeebahmad:

Our Web site has more than 1,000 pieces of content on networking that can be found by clicking on the following link. http://www.itbusinessedge.com/search/?q=networking Networking is such a broad topic, that unless you can narrow it down more, it is hard to provide the exact information you like.

For books on linux, you can try this link. http://www.amazon.com/Linux-Operating-Systems-Books/b/qid=1245153989/ref=sr_tc_img_2_0?ie=UTF8&node=3849  I will see what I can do to get an excerpt of a linux book in our Knowledge Network.

Unless I have a bad download-the template is terrible, and quite honestly really basic.  It seems to consist of one page of template, and four pages of legalese.

Really?  This is the best you could come up with?
