Microsoft is facing a patent-infringement lawsuit from Salesforce.com, Computerworld reports. Salesforce claims that a number of Microsoft products, including its .NET platform and SharePoint collaboration software, violate its patents.
The suit is likely a response to a lawsuit filed by Microsoft in May that accuses Salesforce of infringing on nine of its patents. Horacio Gutierrez, Microsoft vice president and deputy general counsel, says the company is reviewing the filing and plans to move forward with its own complaint.
