Partial Fix for Carpet-Bombing Flaw in Chrome

Susan Hall

Google has issued a second partial fix for a carpet-bombing flaw in its Chrome browser, but it's available only in the developer version, reports The Register.

The Channel Chooser plug-in, though, allows any Chrome user to reset the browser to receive all updates, including the developer editions. InfoWorld quotes Israeli security researcher Aviv Raff, who first demonstrated the bug, saying the fix is "enough for the time being," though more work on it needs to be done.
