A delay in the finalization of the search deal between Microsoft and Yahoo has not stopped the two tech giants from at least thinking about extending the partnership agreement outside the United States. According to TechWhack, Microsoft's Steve Ballmer isn't ready to get too far ahead of himself saying:

It’s possible we would extend that partnership outside of the U.S. but we’ll have to wait and see until we actually are able to get approval and consummate our partnership with Yahoo inside the U.S. and perhaps there’ll be news on that some other day.

Such an extension would make sense, says Doug Caverly, writing for WebProNews. The search deal is easily scalable outside of the United States and even if the two don't make major inroads toward Google's market share, it won't hurt them to be more efficient in several foreign markets.
