New York manufacturer BMP America is suing ERP vendor Infor over whether it should have to pay nearly $150,000 in additional license fees.
BMP first licensed the software with Marcam, which was purchased by SSA Global, which was bought by Infor. BMP maintains that it has adhered to the terms of its initial contract, but Infor claims that BMP violated the license agreement by allowing the use of the software by BMP Asia Industries, as well as by BMP's systems integrator Innovative Solutions.
Infor offered a solution: license BMP Asia and Innovative Solutions for a "one-time expanded use fee of $73,590.62." BMP declined, prompting Infor to send a "breach letter."
