HP User Groups Unite

Susan Hall

Three Hewlett-Packard user groups have voted to join ranks, creating a 50,000-member organization, reports eWEEK.

The three groups, Encompass, HP Interex EMEA and ITUG will become the single organization Connect.

Nina Buik, president of Encompass, the largest of the three groups, said the single group should have greater influence with HP and be able to offer members more educational opportunities and access to the company's leaders.

Meanwhile, PCWorld reports a fourth group, Vivit, was invited to join, but declined.
