Things are looking up in the graphics chip market for the second half of the year, according to Jon Peddie Research.
It found the second quarter showed the best quarter-to-quarter improvement in nine years, reports eWEEK. In comparing the first and second quarters, Intel shipments grew 35.2 percent, Nvidia shipments were up 23.6 percent and AMD shipments rose 41.5 percent.
It says all signs are pointing to even more improvement in the third quarter, typically a rosy season in the market, according to TG Daily. The report doesn't expect a return to 2008 sales levels until 2010, however.
