Fujitsu Announces Super-Slim Drive with 250GB Capacity

Michael Lindenberger

Fujitsu has announced plans to begin selling a 250GB perpendicular hard drive in the next month or two -- a drive that it says will help mobile devices better handle multimedia content and other large files.

The company says it will be the highest-capacity drive of its kind, vnunet.com reports. Other drives, including a 300GB drive from Fujitsu, can store more data but the new release will be 2.5 inches, and slim enough to work on ultra-thin laptops, says engadget.
