Exchange Server Service Pack Offered in Beta

Microsoft has has issued a beta version of Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1, according to vnunet.com.

 

Members of Microsoft's Developer Network or those who subscribe to its TechNet service can download the beta starting today, reports Computerworld. The final release is scheduled for later this year.

 

The pack allows management tools for Exchange 2007 to work with the upcoming Windows Server 2008 as well as with Windows Vista.

 

Said Terry Myerson, general manager for Exchange Server at Microsoft:

. . . we have zeroed in on several areas of investment that are important to our customers. This includes support for Microsoft's next-generation platforms and improved mobile device management.
