EMC Sues Men over Rival Business

Kara Reeder

EMC has filed suit against two men who helped sell it a consulting firm and later started a company that EMC alleges competes against it in violation of the first firm's sale conditions.

boston.com reports that according to court documents, EMC bought BusinessEdge Solutions from two of BusinessEdge's founders, Emanuel Arturi and Francis Casagrande. EMC claims that Arturi and Casagrande left the company to create a firm called Knowledgent Group, which EMC claims is similar to BusinessEdge, thereby violating the terms of the sale.

EMC is seeking an injunction against Arturi, Casagrande, and Knowledgent and damages in an amount to be determined later.
