Dell to Acquire ASAP Software

Dell announced it is spending $340 million to acquire software solutions and licensing services provider ASAP, reports eWEEK.

 

Dell said its enterprise customers have increasingly been asking for a way of "simplifying software management," according to The Register.

 

The acquisition will allow Dell to offer more management tools and services for monitoring software licensing, purchasing, renewals and compliance.
