Critical Flaw in Cisco Security Agent

Cisco is warning Windows users to upgrade because of a critical flaw in a driver used in its Cisco Security Agent software, reports Computerworld.


Attackers sending malicious data to a PC could create a buffer overflow condition in the Windows kernel, causing the system to crash.


Also this week, Cisco announced its Cisco Trusted Security, or TrustSec identity-based networking and security initiative. blogger Jon Oltsik notes the concept isn't new, but Cisco's entry should light a fire under everyone in the market.
