Cisco Fixes Bug in Meeting Software

Cisco has patched a buffer overflow vulnerability in its WebEx online meeting client that could allow hackers to remotely execute code, reports The Register.


The U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team explains the flaw here. Cisco issued an advisory Friday on the problem, which involves a a bug in an ActiveX control by the WebEx Meeting Manager, which sets up meetings for the service, according to Network World.


ActiveX controls also have been giving Microsoft fits lately.
