Ballmer: IT Spending Levels Might Not Return

Posted by Susan Hall Nov 2, 2009 11:26:06 AM

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer told executives in South Korea that IT spending might not return to previous levels once the recession is over, reports The Associated Press in a story in The Washington Post. He said companies forced during the downturn to focus on efficiency might not return to spending habits of the past.

Ballmer is quoted as saying:

While we will see growth, we will not see recovery.
