AT&T Expands Remote Help

Posted by Susan Hall Sep 18, 2009 11:08:51 AM

AT&T's Tech Support 360 service will be able to fix PC problems remotely even when the computer can't be booted, reports PCWorld.com.

The company announced Thursday it is adopting Intel's Remote PC Assist Technology. It allows technicians to examine a crashed operating system or hardware problems over the Internet.

TG Daily calls it "snooping technology" and says it will give AT&T full access to businesses' computers, which will call for a great deal of trust from its customers. It says AT&T has 100,000 business customers for the service.
