AMD Says New Processor Will Greatly Outperform Intel's Clovertown Models

Posted by Michael Lindenberger Apr 23, 2007 11:10:47 AM

Undeterred by staggering losses, a bruising price war with its chief rival Intel, and the latter's release of its quad-core Clovertown processors, AMD today sounded a note of optimism.

TGDaily reports that AMD claims that its new processors -- codenamed Barcelona -- will outperform Clovertown products at any given clock speed by about 50 percent.
