UC-Berkeley Focuses on Business Side of Green Tech

Posted by Susan Hall Oct 20, 2009 2:11:30 PM

The University of California-Berkeley is combining several programs to cater to student interest in green technology, reports The San Francisco Chronicle.

It's creating The Energy Institute within its Haas School of Business to consolidate research on clean-energy technology, policy and economics. Students will study, for instance, how energy markets work, how to finance new energy projects and how to bring new technologies to market.

It's been a big area of interest at Berkeley and at its cross-bay rival, Stanford University, the story says.
