Head of SAP User Group is Out

Susan Hall

SAP has confirmed that the CEO of its Americas User Group is no longer with the organization, though InfoWorld wasn't able to track down whether he left voluntarily or had been fired.

ZDNet's Dennis Howett reports the CEO, Steve Strout, was fired.

Stout was the first full-time CEO for the group, which claims to have more than 50,000 members. Significantly fewer members are expected at its 2009 conference as companies clamp down on travel expenses.

Client companies have been unhappy about SAP's price increases and efforts to move them to more fully featured, but expensive, services. No successor has been named.
