CGI Lands Insurance IT Outsourcing Contract

Canadian technology outsourcing company CGI has been granted a 10-year, $182 million contract with insurance company Foresters, reports The Canadian Press.

 

Under the seven-year extension of an existing deal, 78 Foresters employees will be transferred to CGI. IT application maintenance and development services will be handled from Toronto, Halifax and Bangalore, India, while IT infrastructure services including data center mainframe, voice communications, IT help desk and distributed computing services will be based in Ontario, according to RTTNews.
