Agile Development Certification in the Works

The Project Management Institute is creating a certification in agile development. It will kick off a pilot in May, with examinations projected to begin in the third quarter.

Mark A. Langley, the organization's president and CEO, is quoted saying:

Project managers who are using agile practices in their projects can broaden their influence and impact in their respective organizations and enhance their careers with the agile certification, especially those professionals already holding the PMP [project management professional certification].
