Terry Childs' Sentencing Postponed

Kara Reeder

Computerworld reports that a San Francisco Superior Court judge has delayed the sentencing of Terry Childs to July 2 at the request of Childs' defense attorneys who asked for more time to prepare motions and sentencing arguments.

In April, Childs was found guilty of one felony count of denying computer service for locking top administrators out of San Francisco's new computer system.

Childs faces five years in prison, but because he's been held on $5 million bond since his July 2008 arrest, he could spend little further time in prison if the judge considers time served.
