Microsoft to Issue Six Patches for 15 Vulnerabilities

Posted by Kara Reeder Nov 6, 2009 8:50:58 AM

According to InformationWeek, Microsoft plans to address 15 vulnerabilities in this month's Patch Tuesday.

Of the six security bulletins, four are for Windows and two are for Office, specifically Word and Excel, reports PCMag.com. Half are rated as "critical," while the other half are considered "important." The article notes that Windows 7 does not appear to be affected by the updates.

This month's release pales in comparison to last month's release when Microsoft patched 34 vulnerabilities in 13 bulletins.
