Researchers at MessageLabs say that a spam attack using MP3 files has surfaced. According to V3.co.uk, the scam uses a sound file to advertise a pharmacy site that sells Viagra. Although, the message does not contain attack code, it is still catching the attention of security experts.
This is the second recently discovered spam operation that uses old methods to deliver junk mail. MessageLabs also has warned that the Donbot network has been linked to a rash of stock-related spam messages that attempts to persuade users to invest in a low-priced stock.
