McAfee's 'Most Dangerous Search Terms'

Posted by Kara Reeder May 29, 2009 9:36:49 AM

McAfee has come out with its list of "The Web's Most Dangerous Search Terms," and if you're looking for screen savers, music lyrics or free digital music, beware.

According to internetnews.com, the survey covered over 2,600 popular keywords from five search engines: Google, Yahoo, Microsoft Live, Ask, and AOL.

"Lyrics" is one of the most dangerous search terms across the globe, as was "free." In the U.S., the most dangerous terms included "free music downloads," "game cheats" and "word unscambler." Broken down into categories, "screensavers" was the riskiest, followed by "free games," "work from home," "Rihanna," "Wekbinz" and "powerball."
