G1 Security Flaw Discovered

Posted by Ainsley Jones Oct 27, 2008 10:17:05 AM

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said Google's Android is not good enough for the Sprint brand in its current form.

According to InformationWeek, Hesse did not elaborate as to why he thinks the mobile operating system is wanting or what he thought needed to be improved when he addressed the National Press Club in Washington D.C.

One reason Hesse may not be hot on Android is a security flaw reported by The New York Times. Charles A. Miller, a former National Security Agency computer security specialist, notified Google and plans to publish a weakness he discovered in T-Mobile's G1 phone. Miller says the flaw could be exploited by an attacker looking to fool G1 users into visiting fraudulent Web sites.
