Desktop Security Agent Also Protects Remote and Mobile Workers

Posted by Kim Mays Oct 20, 2009 9:23:20 AM

DeepNines Technologies' new desktop security agent called iTrust Agent also works to protect remote and mobile workers, says CIO.com.

The iTrust Agent works on Windows or Macs by directing the user's browser through the DeepNines Secure Web Gateway. Though the Gateway is not a VPN, it works like a secure tunnel, allowing remote users to benefit from anti-malware protection and URL filtering even when they are not in the office. The product can also lock down a device against unauthorized applications and report user activity.
