Cisco Warns of Flaws in Unified Communications Manager

Posted by Kara Reeder Aug 28, 2009 10:17:35 AM

Cisco is warning about about two vulnerabilities in its Unified Communications Manager software, reports V3.co.uk. The bugs could allow an attacker to launch a DoS attack to bring down voice services.

The flaws affect UCM editions 4, 5, 6 and 7, but not the Express edition. The patches are for the 6.x and 7.x versions with a fix for versions 5.x scheduled for early September.

Cisco also recently warned of a flaw in its "lightweight" wireless access points that could allow an attacker to redirect traffic outside the enterprise.
