Adobe to Patch Five Flaws in Flash

Posted by Kara Reeder Feb 25, 2009 2:50:25 PM

Adobe is patching its Flash multimedia software to fix five flaws affecting Windows, OS X and Linux systems.

InfoWorld reports that the update addresses a critical flaw that could allow a hacker to access a PC via a malicious SWF (Shockwave Flash) file. Two other updates fix potential problems with "clickjacking," while the remaining two address a potential denial-of-service condition caused by an input validation problem.

The updates are expected on March 11, the same day Adobe will release a fix for Acrobat and Reader flaws.
