A Dozen Patches Each for Microsoft, Firefox

Microsoft on Tuesday will issue 12 security bulletins, including fixes for seven "critical" vulnerabilities that would allow remote execution of code, reports vnunet.com.

 

They include three issues in Office, including one in Office 2004 for Mac; one in Internet Explorer and three in Windows.

 

It also will address five issues rated "important." The affected software includes Active Directory, ADAM, IIS, Jscript,  VBScript, Visual Basic, Works, and Works Suite, according to InformationWeek.

 

Meanwhile, Mozilla has issued 12 patches in an update for its Firefox browser, reports eWEEK. They include four vulnerabilities rated "critical" and three labeled "high risk."
