Kara Reeder

Microsoft's February Patch Tuesday will see 12 updates to patch 22 vulnerabilities, reports Computerworld. Three are rated as "critical," the rest are classified as "important," according to CNET News.

Included in the updates are patches for three zero-day vulnerabilities. One bug, discovered by French security firm Vupen, affects all versions of Internet Explorer. Another is in Windows' rendering of thumbnail images, and the third is in Microsoft's Internet Information Services Web server product. The flaw in the MHTML protocol handler will not be addressed.

Other products being addressed include Microsoft Office and Visual Studio, notes ITProPortal.
