Sprint Expands 4G Service to New Markets

Posted by Ainsley Jones Nov 3, 2009 11:02:55 AM

Sprint expanded its 4G coverage into several new markets this week. As of yesterday, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth and North Carolina cities Cary, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, Durham, Greensboro, High Point, Raleigh and Winston-Salem have 4G service available. The carrier's continued deployments make it the leader in 4G for the moment, and it's clear the company is betting big on the technology, says Soft Sailor.

To use the new service, customers in the new markets will need a 4G-compatible modem. Sprint is also offering a 3G/4G card that enables users to use 3G in areas where 4G is not available, according to Sprint Connection.
