Samsung Eclipses 10 Million Galaxy S Sales

Ainsley Jones

Samsung announced that it has sold in excess of 10 million Android Galaxy S handsets globally since its release in June 2010. Though not in the same league with Apple's iPhone, it's an admirable figure, according to Wired.

The Galaxy S, which currently runs Android 2.1, is due for the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update soon, which will bring with it additional features and enhancements, says Best Mobile Contracts. One the eve of CES 2011, it's likely new Android handsets will give the Galaxy S a run for its money and continue to propel Google in the mobile operating system race against Apple and RIM.
