Palm Overwhelmed by App Submissions

Ainsley Jones

Palm finally has a good problem. Its decision to open development to everyone has left it facing more WebOS app submissions than it can handle, Gizmodo reports. Regarding the issue, Palm Developer Community Manager Chuq Von Rospach offered:

We got more applications than we could handle well, which is a good problem to have. Unfortunately, it means we dropped some things on the floor, and that's bad, but with the impending "stuff" that's coming, this is all going to get a lot easier for everyone and a lot more transparent.

Von Ropsach did not divulge how many apps had been submitted. Shortly after the launch of the Pre, only 30 apps were available, says Electronista.
