Palm Introduces Palm Pixi

Ainsley Jones

Palm introduced the Palm Pixi, its second WebOS phone. Smaller than the Pre, the handset is expected to be available from Sprint just in time for the holidays. Pricing and availability will be announced at a later date. Sprint is expected to exclusively offer the Pixi at least through the holiday period, according to InformationWeek.

The Pixi will have a fixed QWERTY keyboard, capacitive touch-screen and 8GB of storage, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The device also offers IM, support for mobile e-mail and much of the functionality that is available with the Pre.
