Nokia Taking it Slow with Maemo

Posted by Ainsley Jones Dec 1, 2009 9:51:34 AM

Nokia plans to take its time with its transition to the Maemo platform. The company plans to release only one Maemo-based smartphone in 2010, just as it did this year with the N900.

According to Unwired View, the handset manufacturer will continue to roll out Symbian-based devices. The report does bring with it speculation that Nokia will reserve Maemo only for high-end devices and not abandon Symbian as previously reported, says I4U News.
