HTC, long in bed with the Android platform, intends to launch three Android-powered tablets this year, with the first set to arrive as early as this March, DigiTimes reports. The HTC Flyer will ship with Android 2.3 and will be updated with Honeycomb when Google makes the OS available, says SlipperyBrick.com.
HTC and an unnamed carrier are working together to get the Flyer to market ahead of Motorola's Xoom and RIM's PlayBook. More details should surface at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. HTC's other two tablets are expected to arrive in June and run Honeycomb.
