Google Introduces Quick Search Box to Android

Google has introduced what it is calling Quick Search Box. The new functionality enables users to retrierve apps, contacts and e-mail. Users can utilize the Quick Search Box to find content on the Internet without opening a Web browser. In addition, they can also use the tool to find content within apps, says MobileBurn.


Quick Search Box comes with the Android 1.6 update. According to Pocket-lint, Quick Search Box also provides suggestions as the user types. Over time, the function will adapt to user habits, thus speeding up access to content.
