Best Buy Providing Instant Rebate on Verizon Motorola Droid

Posted by Ainsley Jones Oct 30, 2009 11:40:43 AM

Motorola Droid will be available next week. While Verizon will sell the smartphone for $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate, Best Buy is pre-selling the handset with an instant rebate. This allows customers to avoid the hassle of dealing with the mail-in rebate and means they only have to spend $199 when they snag the device, says Phones Review.

Best Buy offered a similar deal to customers when the Palm Pre launched last June. In addition to the instant rebate, Best Buy is also offering an update checker that allows customers to go to their nearest Best Buy store and determine if they are eligible for a phone upgrade, according to Soft Sailor.
