Yahoo Launches Search Pad

Ainsley Jones

Yahoo is set to launch a new productivity tool that will allow users to save the Web sites they visit and take notes as they search. Yahoo Search Pad has been available as a limited beta since February, but Yahoo will officially launch the new tool today in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Brazil and Argentina, reports PC World.

Yahoo Search Pad is built into Yahoo Search and assists users to collect information over several search sessions. Search Pad will be on by default when using Yahoo Search and ask the user whether they want to take notes if it detects the user is doing research. If the user agrees, Search Pad will create an archive of the users search results, says CNET News.
