Vivox to Enable Voice Chat for Facebook

Ainsley Jones

Vivox announced today that it has created a new voice chat system for Facebook users. The Vivox Voice Chat for Facebook applicaton enables Facebook friends to engage in voice chat at any location, according to PC Magazine.

The service is expected to be available on the social networking site through third-party vendors within weeks, says CNET News. Vivox Voice Chat for Facebook, currently in a closed beta, will be not only for one-on-one chats, but also for group conversations, which could lend itself to the business markets. In addition, the service will be available to parties that are not members of Facebook. Vivox plans to provide free dial-in numbers that will allow folks to participate in a discussion.
