Virtualization Set for Banner Year

Virtualization is poised for a big year according, to Gartner. The research analyst says the technology will be the top initiative this year as cost savings continue to hold a high priority in the enterprise. While not predicting the implementation, Gartner believes desktop virtualizaion will most benefit from the virtualization boom.

 

Virtualizing the desktop offers companies a way to reduce hardware and software costs if done wisely. As a result, Gartner expects management tools geared toward corralling virtual machine sprawl to thrive as well, according to InformationWeek.
