Sprint Offers Dell Mini 10 Netbook

Posted by Ainsley Jones Nov 3, 2009 9:28:34 AM

Sprint is now selling the Dell Mini 10 netbook with built-in 3G on a two-year contract for $199, which includes a $100 mail-in rebate, according to InformationWeek. The company is looking to capitalize on the shifting market with the move.

David Coursey at PCWorld.com says the Sprint netbook deal is not all it is cracked up to be. The upfront cost is $299, the same price of the Mini 10 from Dell. Customers then have to add a two-year 5GB data plan that costs $59.99 a month. In addition, since the broadband modem is embedded in the netbook, the service cannot be moved to another computer.
