Revamp of Perl the First in Five Years

The first new version of the Web scripting language Perl has been released by the Perl Foundation and is available as a free download, reports InformationWeek.


Perl 5.10 adds new features and an improved interpreter rather than a total overhaul, according to community site Perl Buzz.
