LinkedIn Adds Business Apps

Susan Hall

Social-networking site LinkedIn has opened its OpenSocial-based application platform for developers and added a bunch of apps designed for business, reports eWEEK.

They include apps from partners Amazon, Six Apart, WordPress, Box.net, Huddle, SlideShare and TripIt, among others.

Google's app allows you to add a presentation to your profile. You can also monitor what people are saying about your company on Twitter and use WordPress to integrate your blog posts, according to Wired.

ZDNet's Larry Dignan and Dennis Howlett weigh in on how useful they will actually be for business.
