LibreOffice Is Enterprise-ready

Ainsley Jones

LibreOffice, an open source alternative to Microsoft Office, has been determined to be enterprise-ready by its makers at The Document Foundation. Version 3.4.2 of the open source productivity suite includes a number of new features and fixes, notes ZDNet UK.

The Document Foundation advises companies to deploy LibreOffice with a support partner, which will be able to manage migration and identify any specific problems. Canonical, Oracle, RedHat and SUSE all offer corporate support, according to PC Pro.
