Lenovo Unveils Slate of ThinkVision Eco-Friendly Displays

Posted by Ainsley Jones Oct 22, 2009 9:49:57 AM

Lenovo's five new ThinkVision displays are very eco-friendly, according to DesktopReview.com. They are all at least TCO Certified, EPEAT Gold rated and 50 percent more energy-efficient than previous models.

Of the five new monitors, the ThinkVision L2551x Wide is the flagship and it has an average power draw of 21 watts, compared with 49 watts for its predecessor, the L2440x. The monitors also take advantage of ambient light and  proximity sensors to turn off when they detect that no one is sitting there. The chasis is made up from 65 percent post-consumer recycled plastics and will be shipped in packaging composed of 90 percent recyled materials.

The L1951p Wide, L2550p Wide and L2551p Wide will ship on Friday and will be priced between $240 and $260. The L1771p will ship Nov. 6 for $230 and the L2251x will ship in November for $300, reports Electronista.
